Summary
Nearly about 80 million people per year with that the numbers that are added to the population still gets high, and this is because of the amount if people of reproductive age. Because of population growth it effects the humanity. This leads to enviromental issues. The more people, more habitat is destroyed and the also leads to the extinction of plant and animal species around the world, so the loss of biological diversity takes us to instability of the ecological systems.
Why I Think this issues is important
This issues about population growth is important because the earth is a finite system and its carrying capacity is limited and it cannot hold so many people and at the same time give the needs of those people, so this leads to deforestation, shortage of food in undeveloped countries and birth rates that add to the population to make it harder for the earth.

This issue relates to social studies because of population growth and how it effects the world and its people.
